Financial Operations Support

Monthly financial support for real estate business owners, investors, small property management companies, and the contractors and service providers who keep properties running. Other service based small businesses are welcome.

The money side of your business, kept current every month.

WHAT THIS SERVICE IS

Most business owners do not fall behind on the work they are paid for. They fall behind on the money side of it. Bills wait in an inbox, invoices go out late, receipts pile up, and the books are months behind by the time the CPA asks for them. Because that work is never urgent until it is, it usually lands on the owner at night or on the weekend.

Financial Operations Support gives you a dedicated remote finance operations partner who keeps the money side of your business current: bookkeeping, bills, invoices, collections, and budget tracking, at a flat monthly rate. Choose the tier that fits your volume and move up as your business grows. The work is backed by more than ten years in real estate and finance operations, so it is done with an understanding of how your business actually runs, from how a contractor payment should be categorized to how a project budget should be tracked against its real costs.

How it works

  1. Getting started. Every plan begins with an intake call to understand your business, your accounts, and what is behind. We set up access, with accountant access in QuickBooks and view only access to bank feeds where possible, and agree on how approvals work.
  2. Monthly close. Each month we reconcile your accounts, update your bills and invoices, and send your financial summary and reports by specific monthly date.
  3. Monthly review. We review your plan together each month to make sure your tier still fits your business. If your volume runs above your tier on a regular basis, we will talk about moving to the next tier.
  4. Plan term. Plans begin with a three month minimum, since the first month is focused on learning your business and building a steady routine. After that, plans continue month to month.
